A couple weeks ago I got to see Roger Waters live. If you don't know who he is, he's one of the singers and songwriters of legendary rock band Pink Floyd. It's one of the most phenomenal concerts I've ever seen... aaaaaand of course I painted nails for it.
Here's a shot of all 4 nails I painted, which included the Pink Floyd albums The Wall, Wish You Were Here, and Dark Side of the Moon, as well as one of Roger Waters' logos.
I don't have an individual photo of the Roger Waters nail, but I started it with a base of Black Taxi from Nails Inc. I then sponged on some blue acrylic, as well as Seduce Me and Under the Boardwalk from China Glaze, as well as Casino Royale from OPI. I added a tiny bit of white acrylic, and then wrote out "Roger Waters" in white acrylic as well.
Here's a couple other photos of all of the nails.
For The Wall nail, I started with a base of Sure Thing from Revlon, then painted the bricks and "The Wall" with acrylic.
On the Wish You Were Here nail, I started by making a gradient of Secret Peri-Wink-Le from China Glaze and Sure Thing. The details are all acrylic, as well as a bit of Sharpie diluted in rubbing alcohol compound for some of the fire.
Finally for the Dark Side of the Moon nail, I started with a base of Black Taxi, and as with the other nails, used acrylic to paint the prism.
I know I said it at the beginning of the post, but this was seriously one of the best concerts I've ever been to. It was so well done, and there was so much to see and interact with. I hope my nails did the concert justice!
